MUMBAI: Productive Australia opener Beth Mooney was on Monday named as commander of the Gujarat Giants for the debut time of the Women’s Premiere League (WPL), beginning March 4.

India all-rounder Sneh Rana will be Mooney’s representative.

Mooney is one of a handful of the hitters in the Ladies’ T20 to have scored more than 100, her most noteworthy score being an unbeaten 117. She has additionally hit 18 half-hundreds in the 83 T20 games she has played, scoring 2,350 runs.

Skipper Rana, an off-spinner, has recently shown up for Speed in the Ladies’ T20 Challenge.
She has played 25 games in T20Is, taking 24 wickets with an economy pace of 6.21.
