IPL blocks deal with Saudi Tourism Authority as official partner

Indian Premier League (IPL) has written a new sponsorship agreement with Saudi Tourism Authority (STA). With this new deal the authority is all set to serve the new brand ambassador of this magnificent T20 event.

A meeting was organized to start the partnership with new brand ambassador which was attended by Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajeev Shukla, Vice President of the BCCI, and Ashish Shelar, Honorary Treasurer of the BCCI, as well as group from the Saudi Tourism Authority, named Alhasan Aldabbagh, President of APAC.

Cricket is one of the most famous and played game all over the world. With this collaboration of the two entities all two country fans will achieve great cricket matches and will able to see there star players and vice versa as Indian tourists especially young people and people will come to know about the tourist destinations and attractions of the Saudi. By this way both will help each other to achieve their desired goals.

India and Saudi has some common similarities in between them like more than half of Indian citizens are under age of 30 whereas in Saudi 58 percent of its population is in same age group.

As mentioned in the press release, “As Saudi’s tourism strategy, India shows wonderful potential and will be the largest source of tourism by 2030.The partnership is a strong example of Saudi supporting country’s sport sector. Saudi will continue to strengthen its bond with India and is looking to welcome more than 2 million visitors from India this year”.
