IPL INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

Indian Premier League is a league started by BCCI Board of Control of Cricket India. It is a T20 matches league and been started in 2008 and is running successfully till now. Following is the list of winners of IPL seasons:

IPL 2022: GUJRAT TITANS

Tata IPL 2022 has been played between Gujrat Titans and Rajasthan royal on the ground of Ahmedabad on 29^th May 2022 which has been won by Gujrat  Titans by 7 wickets. Player of the match award has gone to Hardik Pandya for his 34(30) and 3/17. Joss Butler becomes most run scorer in IPL 2022 season as he scored 863 runs in 17 matches who consist of 4 hundreds and 4 fifties. The teams that came in the playoffs are Gujrat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gujrat Titans lead the points table by 20 points and becomes winner. They played total 14 matches in this season and won 10 matches among them.

IPL 2021: CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

The finals of 2021 has been played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Dubai stadium on 15 October 2021 which Chennai Super Kings won by 27 runs. Player of the match award goes to Faf du Plesis for his 86(59). This was Chennai’s 4^th time win in IPL. Purple cap from this season has gone to Harshal Patel from Royal Challengers Bangalore with 32 wickets in the season.

IPL 2020: MUMBAI INDIANS

The final has been played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Dubai on 10 November 202 and won by Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets. This was 5^th time Mumbai Indians won IPL title. Player of the match has been won by Trent Boult for 3/30 wickets.

IPL 2019: MUMBAI INDIANS

This final has been played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Hyderabad on 12 May 2019 and been won by Mumbai Indians by just 1 run. Last over has been bowled by Lasith Malinga who managed to take team to win. Mumbai won the title 4^th time. Player of the match has gone to Jasprit Bumrah for 2/14 wickets.

IPL 2018: CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

 The clash of finals was in between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Wankhede on 27 May 2018 and won by Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets. Player of the match has been gone to Shane Watson for 117(57) runs which helped Chennai a lot to achieve this target.

IPL 2017: MUMBAI INDIANS

This final has been played between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants in Hyderabad on 21 May 2017 and been won by Mumbai Indians by 1 run. Player of the match goes to 47(38) runs. Rohit Sharma was the captain of Mumbai and managed to win by just 1 run.

IPL 2016: SUNRISERS HYDERABAD

This year’s final has been played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalorein Bengaluru on 29 May 2016 and been won by Sunrisers by 8 runs. Player of the match has gone to Ben Cutting for 39*(15) and 2/35. David Warner led the Sunrisers side and has successfully taken the side for win. In this year’s IPL Virat Kohli scored 4 centuries and 7 half centuries in 16 innings.

IPL 2015: MUMBAI INDIANS

This years final was in between 2 most liked teams Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens on 24 May 2015 and won by Mumbai Indians by 41 runs. Mumbai Indian batting line up was really good which took them to win the title, Simmons, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu and Keiron Pollard maintained their batting lineup. Dwayne Bravo was the purple cap winner of the season by 26 wickets. Player of the match goes to Rohit Sharma for 50(26) runs.

IPL 2014: KOLKAT KNIGHT RIDERS

This year’s final match was played in between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab in Bengaluru at 1 June 2014 and been won by Kolkata Knight Riders by 3 wickets. Manish Pandey was the hero of this match and player of the match who scored 94(50). Orange cap winner for this year’s season was Robin Uthappa who scored 660 runs in 16 innings.

IPL 2013: MUMBAI INDIANS

This year last match was played in between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Eden Gardens on 26 May 2013 and been won by Mumbai Indians by 23 runs. This is Mumbai first IPL title won under the captainancy of Rohit Sharma by defeating CSK. Player of the match was Keiron Pollard 60*(32) and 1/34.

IPL 2012: KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS

This year’s final was played in between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on 27 May 2012 and been won by Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets. While chasing huge target of 190 runs Manvinder Bisla made heroic 89(48) and becomes player of the match.

IPL 2011: CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

This year final has been played in between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on 28 May 2011 and been won by Chennai by 58 runs. The main part of Chennai win was Hussey and Vijays partnership of 159 runs.

IPL 2010: CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

This season of IPL final has been held in between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in DY Patil on 25 April 2010 and been won by Chennai by 22 runs. It is Dhoni’s first time that he lifted the trophy of the IPL. Chennai was dominating the league from starting this year and has finally lead to win the trophy. Suresh Raina becomes player of the match with 57*(35) and 1/21.

IPL 2009: DECCAN CHARGERS

This year final was in between Deccan chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Johannesburs, South Africa on 24 May 2009 and been won by Deccan chargers by 6 runs.Deccan chargers total was not too good to defend but Anil Kumble with his magical bowling took 4/16 Wickets and took team to win the title and player of the match for himself.

IPL 2008: RAJASTHAN ROYALS

This year final is played in between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in DY Patil on 1 June 2008 and been won by Rajasthan Royals by 3 wickets. Shane Watson was the first captain who took Rajasthan to win the first title of IPL inn 2008. This match player of the match awarded to Yusuf Pathan for 56(39) and 3/22.
