Shastri on if Kohli can surpass Sachin’s record for most 100-plus runs scored in a game of cricket

He falls just three hundreds short of Sachin’s record for the format, which stands at 49 tonnes, with his three ODI centuries, two of which came in back-to-back innings. In the Test format, where Kohli has 28 hundreds in 108 outings compared to Sachin’s 51 in 200 games, there is a glaring gap.

Kohli has been predicted to eclipse the famous batter’s record in the 50-over format this very year because 2023 will host the ODI World Cup.
